The Garmin Reactor™ 40 Steer-by-Wire Corepack for Volvo Penta® with GHC™ 50 Autopilot Instrument (010-02794-06) brings advanced marine heading hold and route tracking to vessels equipped with electronic steer-by-wire and Volvo Penta Inboard Performance Systems (IPS) or sterndrive joystick configurations. By interfacing directly with the vessel’s electronic control network via the included Volvo IPS gateway, this system delivers precise steering control over the CAN bus without requiring an external hydraulic pump. At the heart of the corepack is a solid-state 9-axis Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) that continuously compensates for pitch, roll, and yaw, keeping the vessel smoothly on course even in rough sea conditions. Helm control is managed through the bright 5-inch glass touchscreen GHC™ 50 display, while full NMEA 2000 network connectivity allows seamless integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters for automated route navigation, step turns, and Auto Guidance features. The complete package includes the Reactor 40 Course Computer Unit (CCU), GHC™ 50 instrument, Volvo IPS gateway, alarm buzzer, and essential NMEA 2000 backbone components.
