The JRC JCY-1900 is a fourth-generation Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) designed to continuously record essential navigation, communication, audio, and operational data from a vessel. It complies with the IMO VDR performance requirements of MSC.333(90) and incorporates the revised requirements associated with MSC.494(104).
The system records information from shipboard sensors, radar, ECDIS, AIS, VHF, microphones, BNWAS, speed and distance measuring equipment, and other connected navigation systems. It includes both fixed and float-free protective capsules, each providing 48 hours of recording.
