The SM Electrics le guardian 2025 is a Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) designed to monitor bridge activity and the alertness of the Officer of the Watch (OOW). If no evidence of activity or acknowledgement is received within the selected monitoring period, the system initiates a progressive alarm sequence.
The alarm sequence first alerts the OOW on the bridge using visual and audible alarms. If there is still no response, the alarm is transferred to selected backup officers’ cabins, followed by a final alarm in designated officer or public areas. The system also includes an emergency call facility for requesting immediate assistance.
