The Garmin GNX™ Wireless Wind Pack (Part Number 010-01616-10) is a comprehensive wind measurement solution designed for sailors requiring accurate wind speed, wind angle, and atmospheric data without the complexity of running wires through the mast. The bundle includes the GNX™ Wind instrument display and the gWind™ Wireless 2 Transducer, providing a complete plug-and-play package for retrofits and new installations. The included transducer features Nexus® 3-bladed twin-vane technology for reliable apparent wind angle (AWA) and apparent wind speed (AWS) measurement, transmitting data wirelessly over a secure 2.4 GHz ANT® link directly to the display or a compatible Garmin marine network.
The core GNX™ Wind display features a glass-bonded 4-inch high-visibility monochrome LCD with customizable backlighting colors, preventing internal fogging and ensuring clear visibility from any angle at the helm. Housed in IPX7 waterproof enclosures, both components are engineered to withstand severe marine environments. The gWind Wireless 2 Transducer is powered by an integrated solar panel with a long-life internal battery, while the GNX display connects directly to an NMEA 2000® network (LEN 2) to share wind metrics, true wind data, and Steer Pilot guidance across GPSMAP® chartplotters, GMI™ displays, and onboard autopilots.
