The Furuno FAR-2xx8 Series is a commercial X-band and S-band marine radar system designed for merchant vessels and workboats. It provides high-resolution radar images for vessel detection, navigation and collision avoidance. The series combines advanced signal processing with Automatic Clutter Elimination (ACE), Fast Target Tracking™, AIS display and echo trails.

The series is available in both magnetron and solid-state NXT configurations. The NXT versions provide solid-state target detection with lower maintenance requirements because there is no magnetron to replace.
