The Icom HM-195B (CommandMic IV) is a full-function remote-control microphone handset in a durable black finish, manufactured by Icom Inc. in Japan. Designed for secondary station control on commercial vessels, workboats, and motor yachts, the HM-195B extends complete operational command of fixed-mount VHF marine transceivers (including the IC-M423, IC-M400BB, IC-M506, IC-M605, IC-M510, and IC-M510BB series) to remote locations such as flybridges, bridge wings, or aft steering stations.
Featuring a high-contrast amber-backlit dot-matrix display and illuminated keys, the handset mirrors the primary radio’s menu interface, allowing operators to execute Class D DSC calls, change channels, adjust squelch/volume settings, and initiate intercom calls to the main console. Built to withstand open-deck marine exposure, the HM-195B offers IPX8 submersible protection and incorporates Icom’s AquaQuake water-draining technology.
Key Features:
• Total Remote Station Control: Delivers complete operational control over compatible Icom VHF radios, including full DSC functionality, channel selection, and menu access.
• High-Contrast Amber Backlit Display: High-resolution dot-matrix screen and illuminated keypad provide exceptional legibility during night operations.
• IPX8 Submersible Construction: Engineered to withstand heavy deck spray and continuous water immersion (up to 1.5 meters depth for 30 minutes).
• Intercom Capability: Supports full two-way intercom communication between the remote station and the main transceiver console.
• AquaQuake Draining Function: Emits low-frequency acoustic vibrations to quickly clear trapped water from the speaker grille after wave exposure.
