The JRC JCX-161 is an IMO-compliant Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) designed to monitor the presence and alertness of the Officer of the Watch (OOW). The system helps provide early warning when the watch officer does not respond within the preset monitoring period.
The system supports automatic and manual operating modes and provides a selectable dormant period from 3 to 12 minutes. Alarm resetting can be performed from reset buttons, an optional infrared motion sensor, or connected navigation equipment such as radar and ECDIS. If no acknowledgement is received, the system initiates progressive visual and audible alarms on the bridge and at designated remote locations.
The JCX-161 features a 4.5-inch monochrome LCD, selectable white or orange LED backlighting, dimmable display settings, emergency calling, officer calling, and serial output for VDR integration using IEC 61162-1 / NMEA ALR sentences.
