The Tokyo Keiki EC-9000 Series ECDIS is an IMO type-approved Electronic Chart Display and Information System designed for merchant vessels, tankers, and workboats.
Built around a Projected Capacitive Touch Screen (Pcap) LCD panel available in three size configurations (19″, 24″, and 27″), the EC-9000 introduces a smartphone-style touch user interface, an ClassNK-certified onboard video tutorial system for familiarization training, and modular hardware designed for zero-downtime maintenance by ship staff.
Multifunction Touchscreen & Flat Operation: Uses projected capacitive touch panel technology allowing gesture controls. The console display can be laid flat to enable multiple bridge officers to plan routes simultaneously.
Onboard Tutorial & Familiarization (NK-Certified): Features built-in video tutorials covering major ECDIS functions directly on the unit. Completed sessions generate logged viewing histories certified by ClassNK to meet ISM code familiarization requirements.
High-Speed Rendering Engine: Optimized graphics processing eliminates sluggish chart rendering issues during fast zoom or pan operations under IHO S-52 presentation standards.
Track Control System (TCS) Integration: Seamlessly pairs with Tokyo Keiki autopilot systems (PR-6000 and PR-9000 series) for compliant automatic route-steering and fuel-saving operations.
Zero Downtime Maintenance: Designed with hot-swappable sub-assemblies and supplied with a pre-configured spare Solid State Drive (SSD), allowing crew members to replace core modules at sea without waiting for shore engineers.
