The Navitron NT991 Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) is designed to monitor the alertness and presence of the Officer of the Watch (OOW). If the watchkeeping officer does not reset the system within the selected monitoring period, the NT991 initiates a progressive alarm sequence to alert personnel on the bridge, designated officers, and crew.
The system has selectable operating modes, an adjustable 3 to 12 minute dormant period, integrated officer selection, emergency call, intruder alarm, power-fail monitoring, and interfaces for equipment such as VDR and central alarm systems. It is expandable from a basic configuration to a comprehensive system for larger vessels.
