The Simrad MARIS ECDIS900 MK15 (24” 4S) is an IMO type-approved Electronic Chart Display and Information System designed for merchant cargo ships, tankers, and commercial vessels subject to SOLAS carriage mandates. Built as an all-in-one 24-inch flat panel PC system (the “4S” designating the integrated 4-serial port version), it provides a low-footprint installation ideal for console, pedestal, or desktop mounting where space is limited.
Integrated Panel PC Architecture: Combines the processor and a 24-inch TFT active-matrix LCD into a single compact unit. Includes 4 built-in NMEA 0183 serial ports and dual Ethernet connections to simplify wiring.
Standard Windows User Interface: Operates on a familiar Windows environment utilizing standard toolbars, pop-up context menus, keyboard, and trackball control.
Advanced Navigation & Search and Rescue (SAR): Features an automated SAR module that creates drift-compensated search patterns (Expanding Square, Sector, Parallel Tracks). Includes a Predictor Module for future position vectoring and a Docking Assistance Module for maneuvering.
Voyage Data Logging & Replay: Contains an integrated digital ship’s logbook recording positions, active charts, targets, and alarms, with full historical replay capability.
Universal Radar & Sensor Integration: Supports direct universal radar overlay (e.g., via LAN connection to Simrad ARGUS radar systems), as well as interfacing with BNWAS, Navtex, AIS, Autopilot, and Central Alarm Systems.
