The SIMRAD V5043 is a new-generation Class A AIS Transceiver designed for SOLAS vessels, commercial ships, professional vessels, and non-SOLAS applications. It is fully compliant with applicable IMO, IEC and ITU standards and supports both SOLAS AIS and Inland AIS modes, selectable through software.

The V5043 provides a compact, integrated AIS solution with a 4.3-inch colour display, built-in multi-GNSS receiver and comprehensive connectivity. It receives and transmits vessel identification, position, course, speed and voyage information, improving vessel awareness and collision-avoidance support. It can interface with ship sensors, ECDIS, radar and long-range communication systems.
