The Simrad R5000 Series is a modular, IMO type-approved marine radar system designed for commercial and SOLAS vessels. It is available in both X-band and S-band configurations and can be installed as a single-radar or multi-radar system. The system uses a black-box radar processor connected to the transceiver and display, allowing flexible installation and integration with other bridge equipment.
The R5000 supports 12 kW and 25 kW X-band configurations and 30 kW S-band configurations. It is type-approved for applicable CAT 1/CAT 2 SOLAS vessels, including high-speed craft, depending on the selected configuration
