The NSR NRR-100 is an inflatable passive marine radar reflector designed for installation on lifeboats and liferafts. Its main purpose is to improve the radar visibility and detection of survival craft during emergency and search-and-rescue operations.
It consists of an outer high-density polymer balloon containing an internal metallic radar-reflective mesh assembly. When inflated, the reflector provides enhanced radar signal reflection, helping nearby vessels and rescue teams identify the location of survival craft.
The NRR-100 is lightweight, compact and easy to install using its attached securing cord. It can be inflated manually by mouth or with an air pump and mounted in any orientation.
