The Marinelite GN-90 (also branded under Saiyang) is a high-sensitivity, all-in-one “Smart Antenna.” It combines a multi-constellation GNSS receiver and an antenna into a single ruggedized housing, outputting position data directly in the NMEA 0183 format.
This unit is designed to provide high-precision location data to legacy marine electronics, such as older VHF radios (for DSC), autopilots, and radars that lack a built-in GPS sensor.
The GN-90 is a “Talker” device, meaning it is purely an information source. Once connected to power, it immediately begins searching for satellites and streaming NMEA sentences. It is favored for its simplicity, as it requires no separate processor unit or external receiver module.
Key Features
-
Multi-GNSS Capability: Tracks GPS and BeiDou constellations simultaneously to ensure a faster “Time to First Fix” and better signal stability in obstructed areas.
-
Plug-and-Play NMEA 0183: Outputs standard industry sentences ($GPRMC$, $GPGGA$, etc.), making it compatible with almost any marine device from the last 20 years.
-
High Sensitivity: Equipped with a low-noise amplifier (LNA) to pull in weak satellite signals even in poor weather conditions.
-
Industrial Durability: Fully sealed and waterproof (IPX6/IP56), resistant to UV exposure and salt spray for permanent outdoor mounting.
-
Wide Voltage Support: Specifically designed to handle the voltage fluctuations common on marine 12V and 24V DC systems.
