Kannad SafeLink EPIRB is a GMDSS 406 MHz emergency position-indicating radio beacon designed to transmit a distress alert through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system. It incorporates a 121.5 MHz homing transmitter for search-and-rescue direction finding and is available in automatic float-free Category 1 and manual Category 2 arrangements. The GPS-equipped version provides position information to assist faster and more accurate SAR response.
