The JOTRON Tron AIS TR-8000 is a professional Class A Automatic Identification System (AIS) designed for commercial and SOLAS vessels. It automatically transmits and receives vessel identification, position, course, speed, heading and voyage-related information through maritime VHF AIS channels, improving navigational safety and situational awareness.

The system has a separate AIS transponder and 7-inch touchscreen display unit, interconnected by Ethernet. The transponder handles AIS radio, GNSS/GPS, navigation sensor and RF functions, while the display provides AIS target presentation, configuration and operational control.
