The Hyundai HiWMS-PE (Hyundai Intelligent Watch Monitoring System – Premium Edition) is a Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) designed to monitor the activity and alertness of the Officer of the Watch (OOW).
The system detects unattended bridge conditions or possible operator incapacity. If the OOW does not respond within the selected monitoring interval, the system generates progressive visual and audible alarms and can automatically alert the Master or designated backup navigator. An Emergency Call function is also provided for immediate assistance.
The HiWMS-PE supports automatic, manual ON, and manual OFF operating modes, adjustable watch intervals, manual reset panels, optional PIR motion sensors, alarm and event logging, and interfaces with navigation equipment and other shipboard alarm systems.
