The Garmin Signal™ VHF 220 (010-02951-01) is a premium fixed-mount marine radio featuring a 25-watt VHF transceiver, Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC), and a built-in AIS receiver. Designed with edge-to-edge glass and a 3.5-inch color IPS touchscreen display, it allows operators to monitor AIS targets and initiate direct DSC calls to nearby vessels directly from the screen. Advanced audio features include adaptive background noise cancellation and an automatic 3-minute voice recording replay buffer for reviewing missed transmissions. The unit operates on 12 V and 24 V systems, integrates seamlessly via NMEA 2000 and Garmin BlueNet, and shares a single antenna connection for both VHF communication and AIS reception. Built to withstand harsh marine environments with IPX6 and IPX7 water ratings, it supports 25 W hailer functionality with automated fog horn signals, a fist mic with an integrated speaker, and expansion for up to five optional Garmin Signal RM 100 remote handsets.
