The Garmin Reactor™ 40 Steer-by-wire Corepack for Volvo-Penta® Without GHC™ Autopilot Instrument (Part Number: 010-00705-93) is a dedicated marine autopilot package designed for vessels with Volvo Penta Inboard Performance Systems (IPS) and sterndrive joystick electronic steering. Functioning without a standalone helm control display, this corepack interfaces electronically with the boat’s control bus using the included Volvo IPS Gateway, removing the need for auxiliary hydraulic pumps or mechanical feedback units. It relies on a solid-state 9-axis Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Course Computer Unit (CCU) that offers flexible mounting options, precise course maintenance, and dynamic sea-state adjustments to minimize rudder movements and power consumption. Complete system operation, commissioning, and route navigation are managed directly through networked, compatible Garmin multifunction chartplotters (MFDs) over NMEA 2000®, optional wireless remote controls, or compatible quatix® smartwatches.
