The Garmin Reactor™ 40 Steer-by-wire Corepack for Volvo-Penta® with GHC™ 50 Autopilot Instrument (Part Number: 010-02794-06) is a premium, fully integrated marine autopilot solution designed specifically for vessels equipped with Volvo Penta electronic steer-by-wire and joystick steering systems. By interfacing directly with the vessel’s CAN bus network, the system commands electronic steering natively without requiring secondary hydraulic pumps or complex mechanical linkages. Powered by a solid-state 9-axis Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS), the Course Computer Unit (CCU) can be mounted in virtually any orientation while delivering minimal heading error, low power consumption, and dynamic adaptation to pitching and rolling sea conditions. The corepack includes the high-resolution GHC™ 50 touchscreen control head, which offers intuitive helm management, rapid commissioning setups, and seamless integration with networked Garmin MFDs, NMEA 2000® sensors, and optional wireless controllers or quatix® smartwatches.
