The Garmin Reactor™ 40 Hydraulic Autopilot Corepack without GHC™ (MPN: 010-00705-21) provides advanced heading control and course stability for all types of hydraulically steered vessels, including inboards, outboards, stern drives, diesels, and sailboats. Built around a solid-state 9-axis Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS), the Course Computer Unit (CCU) continuously adapts to pitch, roll, and heavy seas to minimize course deviation, rudder chatter, and power draw. This corepack features Garmin’s patented Shadow Drive™ technology, which automatically disengages the autopilot when the skipper manually turns the helm and re-engages it once a steady heading is resumed. By omitting the standalone GHC™ helm display instrument, the system connects via NMEA 2000® network cables to allow full operation, setup, and Auto Guidance route tracking directly through a networked, compatible Garmin GPSMAP® or ECHOMAP™ chartplotter.
