The Garmin GT30-THP is a dual-transducer thru-hull kit specifically designed for boats with a deadrise greater than 5 degrees. This setup includes two stainless steel transducers—one for the port side and one for the starboard side—ensuring that the boat’s keel does not block the SideVü sonar signal, providing a complete 180-degree view of the underwater environment.
This pair is a dedicated scanning solution, focusing entirely on CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü sonar. It does not include traditional sonar, making it an excellent high-performance supplement for vessels already equipped with a traditional transducer that need a professional-grade scanning upgrade.
Key Features
-
Dual-Transducer Design: Prevents “keel shadowing” on boats with steep hull angles (5° to 25°), ensuring seamless side-to-side coverage.
-
High-Definition Scanning: Uses CHIRP technology across 455 kHz and 800 kHz frequencies for photographic-quality imagery of structure and fish.
-
Offshore Durability: Rugged stainless steel construction is ideal for fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls in harsh saltwater environments.
-
Wide SideVü Reach: Provides a massive search area, scanning up to 500 feet to each side of the vessel.
-
Clean Signal: Includes high-performance fairing blocks to maintain clear sonar readings even at cruising speeds by reducing water turbulence.
-
Integrated Temperature: Both units feature fast-response temperature sensors for accurate surface water readings.
