The Garmin GNX™ 20 Marine Instrument Display (Part Number 010-01142-00) is an easy-to-read, high-efficiency digital instrument designed for powerboat and sailboat helms to monitor depth, speed, wind, and over 50 marine and vessel parameters. Featuring a glass-bonded 4-inch high-contrast monochrome LCD with bold 36 mm digits, it delivers unmatched legibility under direct sunlight. The display combines dark digits on a white or colored background with a fully customizable backlighting system, allowing mariners to tailor colors across red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, or white for optimal night-vision protection and helm aesthetics.
Housed in a glass-bonded IPX7 waterproof chassis, the GNX™ 20 is designed to prevent internal fogging and condensation in harsh offshore conditions. The display supports fully customizable user profiles, showing single, dual, or triple-function data layouts alongside bar graphs and trend lines. Compatible with both flush and flat mounting configurations, the device connects seamlessly to NMEA 2000® networks and NMEA 0183 inputs. With an extremely low power consumption of just 0.35 W daytime (no backlight) and 0.40 W nighttime (mid-level backlight), it maximizes energy efficiency for long-distance cruising and sailboats operating on battery banks.
