The Garmin GMR™ 436 xHD3 (K10-00012-25) is an open-array marine radar system that combines a 4 kW magnetron pedestal with a 6-foot open-array antenna to deliver long-range target detection up to 72 nautical miles. Featuring a narrow 1.18-degree horizontal beamwidth, it provides exceptional target separation and clarity for resolving small targets, shorelines, and distant weather cells. The radar operates at rotation speeds up to 48 RPM for fast screen refresh rates on compatible Garmin chartplotters. Advanced digital signal processing capabilities include scan-averaging technology to filter out sea clutter and noise, target-size processing to improve visual object shapes, and Dual Range mode for simultaneous long- and short-range target tracking on a split display. Additional features include Auto Bird Gain for locating flocking sea life, MARPA target tracking for up to 30 targets, radar chart overlay, and Dynamic Auto Gain and Sea Filtering. Housed in a commercial-grade enclosure rated to withstand up to 100-knot winds, it operates on 10 to 32 VDC power systems, connects via the Garmin Marine Network, carries an IPX6 water resistance rating, and is supplied as a complete bundle with interconnect cabling and voltage converter hardware.
