The Garmin GMR™ 434 xHD3 (K10-00012-24) is an open-array radar system that combines a 4 kW magnetron pedestal with a 4-foot open-array antenna to deliver precise target separation and an extended detection range up to 72 nautical miles. Featuring high-speed rotation up to 48 RPM for rapid display updates, it offers a narrow 1.8-degree horizontal beamwidth that provides high-resolution imaging of shorelines, weather fronts, and small targets. Advanced digital signal processing capabilities include scan-averaging technology to filter out sea clutter and noise, target-size processing to sharpen visual shapes, and Dual Range mode for simultaneous long- and short-range tracking on a split display. The radar supports Auto Bird Gain for locating flocking sea life, MARPA target tracking for up to 30 targets, radar chart overlay, and Dynamic Auto Gain and Sea Filtering. Operating on 10 to 32 VDC power systems, it integrates via the Garmin Marine Network, carries an IPX6 water resistance rating, and is supplied as a complete bundle with interconnect cabling and voltage converter hardware.
