The Garmin GMR™ 24 xHD3 (010-02842-00) is a high-definition 24-inch, 4 kW magnetron dome radar featuring a narrower 3.7-degree horizontal beamwidth for sharper target separation and detection ranges up to 48 nautical miles. Designed for powerboats and sailing vessels, it offers variable rotation speeds up to 60 RPM to provide rapid display updates on compatible Garmin chartplotters. The radar incorporates advanced target-enhancement features, including scan-averaging technology to filter out surface noise, target-size processing to refine visual shapes, and Dual Range mode for simultaneous long- and short-range target tracking. Additional capabilities include Auto Bird Gain for locating flocking sea life, MARPA target tracking for up to 30 targets, radar chart overlay, and Dynamic Auto Gain and Sea Filtering. Built into an IPX7 waterproof enclosure powered by a low-noise motor drive, it operates on 11 to 32 VDC power systems, connects via the Garmin Marine Network, and includes a 15-meter power and network interconnect cable.
