The Digital Yacht Nomad 2 is a compact and portable Class B+ AIS transponder designed for recreational vessels, charter boats, delivery skippers, pilots, and professional mariners.

The latest Nomad 2 version is a 5 W SOTDMA AIS transponder, providing both AIS transmission and reception. It transmits the vessel’s identification and position information to other AIS-equipped vessels while receiving AIS targets from surrounding vessels. The unit also provides GPS and AIS data wirelessly to tablets, smartphones, PCs, and compatible navigation applications.

Nomad 2 is supplied with a compact combined VHF and GPS antenna and features an integrated Wi-Fi interface. Configuration is carried out through a built-in web interface without requiring dedicated software.
