The Danelec Marine DM700 ECDIS System is a complete, type-approved bridge navigation package engineered for commercial SOLAS and non-SOLAS vessels. Built around Danelec’s Linux-driven Data Processing Unit (DPU 700-01) and integrated marine-grade display options, the system emphasizes low total cost of ownership, high hardware reliability, and fast serviceability.
Integrated DPU Core: Driven by the ultra-compact, fan-less DPU 700-01 processor, eliminating traditional PC failure points like spinning hard drives and cooling fans.
SWAP (SoftWare Advanced Protection) Technology: Stores all system parameters, chart permits, and custom configuration settings on a hot-swappable external smart card module. Allows hardware replacement in under 15 minutes without technical re-configuration.
Paperless Navigation Ready: Connects seamlessly in dual- or triple-station configurations via LAN to fulfill paperless ECDIS carriage requirements under IMO rules.
Danelec Connect / VDR Ready: Integrates natively with Danelec Voyage Data Recorders (DM100 series) and ship-to-shore IoT infrastructure for continuous system health checks and remote diagnostic logging.
