The AMI Marine SMIDS 7″ Portable Handheld Tablet is a portable display designed for use with the Ship’s Movement Information Display System (SMIDS). It allows the master, duty officer, or pilot to monitor vessel movement in real time while manoeuvring, docking, or navigating from locations where fixed bridge displays may not be visible, such as the bridge wings.

The tablet connects wirelessly to the SMIDS system through the X994 Serial-to-Bluetooth Converter. Its display emulates the X991-S Heads-Up Display, providing ship’s heading and relative speeds at the bow and stern. It offers up to 6 hours of operating time and is supplied with a charging cable and power adapter.
