The NSR AM-100 Anemometer is a marine wind-measuring system designed to measure and display wind speed and wind direction onboard vessels. It consists of a wind transmitter, display unit and junction box. The system provides wind information to help ship officers monitor weather conditions during navigation and manoeuvring. When connected to compatible gyrocompass and speed-log inputs, it can also calculate true wind data. Its NMEA 0183 / RS-422 interfaces allow wind information to be shared with compatible bridge navigation equipment.
