The Icom OPC-2384 is a specialized 12-pin to 8-pin conversion adapter cable manufactured by Icom Inc. in Japan. Purpose-built for multi-station system integration on Icom’s flagship IC-M605 and IC-M605EURO fixed-mount marine VHF transceivers, the OPC-2384 enables direct connection between the transceiver’s 12-pin CommandMic rear connector ports and standard 8-pin HM-195 or HM-229 series remote control handsets.
Measuring 200 mm (7.8 inches) in length, this adapter serves as the primary hardware bridge between different connector generations, maintaining complete signal integrity for display telemetry, voice transmission, intercom functions, and Class D DSC control. Constructed with rugged, weather-sealed threaded locking collars, the OPC-2384 can be connected directly to CommandMics or combined with OPC-1541 extension cables for long cable runs to vessel flybridges, tower stations, or bridge wings.
