The Icom HM-195GB (CommandMic IV) is a full-function remote-control microphone handset manufactured by Icom Inc. in Japan. Designed for dual-station flexibility on commercial vessels and motor yachts, the HM-195GB extends complete operational command of fixed-mount VHF marine transceivers (including the IC-M423G, IC-M506, IC-M605, IC-M510, and IC-M400BB series) to secondary locations such as flybridges, bridge wings, or aft decks.
Featuring a crisp white-backlit dot-matrix display and backlit soft keys, the handset mirrors the main radio’s menu interface, allowing operators to make Class D DSC calls, change channels, toggle squelch/volume settings, and initiate intercom calls to the primary console. Engineered for tough open-deck conditions, the HM-195GB offers IPX8 submersible protection and incorporates Icom’s AquaQuake water-draining technology.
Key Features:
• Total Remote Station Control: Delivers complete operational control over compatible Icom VHF radios, including full DSC functionality, channel selection, and menu access.
• High-Contrast White Backlit Display: High-resolution dot-matrix screen and illuminated keys ensure excellent readability during night watch.
• IPX8 Submersible Construction: Built to withstand severe deck conditions and continuous submersion (up to 1.5 meters depth for 30 minutes).
• Intercom Capability: Enables two-way communication between the main radio console and the remote CommandMic station.
• AquaQuake Draining Function: Emits low-frequency vibrating acoustic tones to quickly purge water from the speaker grille.
