The AV30 uses a rubber-coated helical whip and polycarbonate body to provide a compact, rugged and low-windage AIS antenna. An integrated tuning circuit matches the helical element to the AIS band, allowing the antenna to operate independently of a ground plane. The top and bottom are epoxy sealed for watertight operation.
It is particularly suitable for the Comar COM100 lightweight AIS receiver, including remote monitoring and UAV/drone installations where size, weight and reliable AIS reception are important.
