Kongsberg K-Bridge ECDIS is an advanced Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) developed by Kongsberg Maritime for commercial, offshore, and naval vessels. It is designed to support safe and efficient navigation by replacing traditional paper charts with official Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) while meeting all IMO and SOLAS carriage requirements.
The K-Bridge ECDIS integrates seamlessly with other bridge systems, including radar, AIS, GNSS, gyro compass, speed log, echo sounder, autopilot, BNWAS, and Voyage Data Recorder (VDR). It provides comprehensive voyage planning and route monitoring capabilities, automatic safety checks, radar overlay, anti-grounding alarms, and real-time navigation information to assist bridge officers in making informed decisions.
The system is part of the K-Bridge Integrated Navigation System (INS), enabling centralized control and information sharing across bridge workstations. It supports multiple chart formats, automatic chart updates, and complies with the latest IMO, IHO, and IEC standards, including cyber security requirements (IEC 61162-460). Its intuitive user interface, high-resolution displays, and configurable layouts improve situational awareness and reduce operator workload, making it suitable for modern integrated bridge environments.
