The Furuno FMD-3200 / FMD-3300 series represents Furuno’s high-performance, modular Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) designed for medium-to-large SOLAS vessels (over 10,000 GT). Unlike the all-in-one panel architecture of the FMD-3100, the FMD-3200/3300 series utilizes a standalone processor unit (EC-3000) paired with separate high-resolution marine monitors and control consoles, making it suitable for complex integrated bridge installations.
FMD-3200: Equipped with a 19.0-inch SXGA Color LCD (MU-190). Ideal for standard bridge console dimensions.
FMD-3200BB (Black Box): Processor unit supplied without monitor, allowing connection to 3rd-party or specialized 19″ displays.
FMD-3300: Equipped with a 23.1-inch UXGA Color LCD (MU-231) or 27.0-inch Wide Color LCD (MU-270W). Provides a larger chart viewing area for enhanced situational awareness.
