The Furuno FMD-3100 is a compact, IMO-type-approved Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) engineered for bridge installations where space is constrained. It integrates the processing unit, panel computer, and display into a single 24-inch widescreen unit, making it ideal for retrofits and vessels under 10,000 GT.
It features Furuno’s intuitive task-based User Interface (shared across the FMD-3200/3300 and FAR-3000 radar series) to streamline chart management, route planning, and navigation monitoring.
Instantaneous Chart Redraw: Utilizes Furuno’s advanced chart engine to deliver immediate zoom and pan response without lag, maintaining situational awareness in congested waters.
Streamlined Route Planning & Monitoring: Features real-time safety checking against dangerous depths, isolated dangers, and restricted areas during both route creation and active passage monitoring.
Radar Overlay & Sensor Integration: Seamlessly interfaces with Furuno FAR-2xx7 / FAR-3000 series radars for target (TT/AIS) and raw radar overlay displays via high-speed LAN networks.
Dual/Triple ECDIS Support: Supports dual-station configuration for paperless navigation compliance under IMO carriage requirements, with automatic sync of routes, user maps, and chart updates.
