Shifting away from legacy magnetron technology, the Pathfinder platform utilizes solid-state X-band transmission combined with advanced CHIRP pulse compression. This allows it to achieve target detection performance that exceeds a traditional 12kW magnetron while dramatically lowering long-term maintenance needs.

The Pathfinder 32 operates as a modular network consisting of four principal hardwired components:
