The Garmin GT8HW-TM Transom Mount Transducer is a high-performance sonar unit specifically designed for shallow water anglers. It features High-Wide CHIRP traditional sonar, which provides exceptionally clear bottom definition and distinct fish arches with superior target separation.
The “High-Wide” designation refers to the wider beam angle (up to 24°), which offers a significantly larger coverage area in the water compared to standard narrow-beam transducers. This makes it much easier to stay on top of fish in shallower environments.
High-Wide CHIRP (145–230 kHz): Sweeps through a range of high frequencies with a wider beam to provide crisp detail and broad coverage.
