The SAILOR 6202 Hand Microphone operates as a Push-To-Talk (PTT) voice interface for marine VHF radios. It converts the operator’s voice into an electrical signal and sends it to the VHF radio transmitter for communication.
The system works in half-duplex mode, meaning:
- The user presses PTT to transmit (TX)
- The user releases PTT to receive (RX)
