The KVH 274XL is a high-precision Elevation Timing Belt specifically designed for the KVH TracVision G8 and TracPhone F77 marine satellite systems. It serves as the mechanical bridge between the elevation drive motor and the antenna reflector (the dish).
Because the G8 is a high-performance “active” tracking antenna, this belt is responsible for the constant, micro-adjustments required to keep the dish pointed at the satellite while the vessel pitches and rolls in heavy seas.
