The PA24 2‑Direction Joystick Controller is a rugged, industrial joystick switch designed for controlling discrete movements along two axes (typically up/down or left/right). It is panel-mounted—usually with a 22 mm bezel diameter—and features a “spring-return to center” mechanism so that the actuator returns to its neutral position when released. The joystick supports one normally-open (NO) contact per direction, meaning each directional movement closes its assigned circuit when actuated. It is built to robust standards: rated insulation voltage up to about 660 V, impulse withstand rating (Uimp) around 6 kV, and a thermal current rating of 10 A in appropriate switching categories (e.g. AC‑15). The degree of protection is high (IP66), making it suitable for harsh environments with dust and water spray. The controller is constructed with durable materials (such as chromium-plated metal sections for the bezel and lever) and is engineered to function across a wide ambient temperature range (–25 °C to +70 °C). It is compatible with industrial control systems and meets standards such as IEC 60947‑5‑1 for control devices.
