The Raymarine Ray73 is the flagship of the Raymarine fixed-mount VHF lineup, functioning as a comprehensive communication, safety, and situational awareness hub. It combines a Class D DSC radio, a built-in GPS receiver, and an integrated AIS receiver into a single, oversized unit styled to match Axiom multifunction displays.
Key Features
-
Integrated AIS Receiver: The Ray73 receives Automatic Identification System (AIS) data from nearby vessels and displays it on its own high-contrast LCD. It also outputs this data via NMEA 2000 so targets can be viewed on your chartplotter.
-
Built-in GPS/GNSS: Includes an internal 72-channel GNSS receiver. Like the Ray63, it features an external TNC connector for an optional passive antenna if needed for improved signal reception in enclosed helms.
-
Loudhailer & Fog Signals: Features a built-in 30W audio output. When connected to an optional hailing horn, it can be used for voice communication to deck hands or to automatically sound required fog signals.
-
Multi-Station Support: Supports the addition of up to two RayMic wired remote handsets, allowing for full radio and intercom control from different areas of the vessel.
-
“Glass Bridge” Styling: Designed to be flush-mounted or bracket-mounted, its gunmetal grey bezel and clean lines match the latest marine electronics aesthetics.
