The NSR NPP100 AIS Pilot Plug is an IMO-standard interface designed to provide pilots with access to AIS navigation data onboard vessels. It allows a pilot’s portable computer or compatible navigation equipment to connect to the vessel’s AIS transponder and receive ship information and surrounding AIS target data.
The unit uses an RS-422 serial interface and is designed for marine AIS pilot plug applications. It provides access to AIS information required for pilot navigation and monitoring.
