The JRC NJS6930 is an X-Band Diode Limiter specifically designed for high-power marine radar systems. Its primary job is to protect the radar’s sensitive receiver (Front End) from the high-power pulses emitted by its own transmitter (Magnetron).
In a radar system, the transmitter and receiver often share the same antenna. When the magnetron fires an 8 kW pulse, the NJS6930 acts as a “gatekeeper,” limiting the energy that reaches the receiver to a safe level (milliwatts) to prevent burnout.
