The Garmin Panoptix™ PS51-TH is a premium multibeam thru-hull transducer designed for collision avoidance and real-time navigation. It features FrontVü™ forward-looking sonar, which helps prevent running aground by providing instant feedback of the seabed profile and obstacles ahead of the vessel.
Collision Avoidance: Delivers nearly instant feedback to give the captain more time to react in unfamiliar or poorly charted waters.
Narrow Beam Focus: Uses a narrow 20-degree beam to focus specifically on the bottom directly in front of the hull, reducing confusion from side reflections.
Motion Stabilization: Includes an internal AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) to stabilize the sonar image on the chartplotter, even in rough sea conditions.
High-Speed Durability: The stainless steel thru-hull mount is built to withstand speeds up to 45 knots, though the FrontVü™ collision avoidance feature is most effective at speeds up to 8 knots.
