The ACR GlobalFix PRO is a 406 MHz GPS Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) designed for maritime distress alerting and search-and-rescue operations. It incorporates an internal GPS receiver that provides position information to the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system. A separate 121.5 MHz homing transmitter and high-intensity LED strobe assist SAR teams in locating the beacon.
