An N Male Crimp RF Coaxial Connector is a high-quality connector used to terminate large-diameter coaxial cables. It provides a secure, reliable, and low-loss connection for a wide range of RF applications
Description
The N connector is a threaded, medium-sized RF connector known for its excellent performance up to 11 GHz or even higher, depending on the design. This specific type is a male plug, meaning it has a central pin and a threaded coupling nut. The crimp termination method uses a specialized tool to compress a metal sleeve (ferrule) onto the cable’s outer jacket and braided shield. This provides a strong mechanical and electrical connection for the shield. The center pin is typically soldered to the cable’s inner conductor.
This type of connector is designed for heavy-duty, low-loss coaxial cables with a diameter of approximately 10.3 mm. This includes cables such as LMR-400, Belden 9913, and RG-8, which are widely used in professional radio, cellular, Wi-Fi, and other high-frequency applications.
