he NMEA KMD-550 distribution box by ONWA is used for cable switching, providing branching of electrical connections. The distribution box allows for safe power supply of equipment on board various types of vessels. It has 12 RS422 outputs, three RS232 outputs, and one speed cut-off signal. The equipment can be configured for 15 RS232 outputs, as well as one speed cut-off signal.
The output of each channel in the NMEA distribution box, as well as the power supply, the input signal are isolated. KMD-550 can be used as two independent NMEA distribution boxes. The device provides high data transfer speed – up to 38400 baud.
