The Marine Data MD68HRB is a weatherproof, bracket-mounted oversized NMEA steering repeater display manufactured in the United Kingdom by Marine Data Systems. Derived from the large-format MD68HR steering repeater, the “B” variant is housed inside a fully enclosed IP66-rated weatherproof enclosure equipped with a heavy-duty adjustable trunnion bracket for exposed steering positions, open bridge wings, and flybridge helms.

The display features an oversized 250mm (approx. 10-inch) concentric dual-scale compass dial card (a 360° outer scale combined with a high-resolution 10° expanded inner scale) providing 0.1° heading resolution for long-distance visual readability. Constructed from marine-grade powder-coated aluminum, the MD68HRB automatically decodes standard NMEA 0183 serial heading data ($HDT, $HDG, $HDM, $THS) from shipboard gyrocompasses, satellite compasses, or magnetic heading sensors. Adjustable red LED dial lighting ensures glare-free night-watch operations on exposed helms.
