Raymarine SS175M (A80505) is a 1kW single-channel Medium-band CHIRP stainless steel thru-hull transducer featuring a fixed internal 20° tilted ceramic element. Precision-machined from marine-grade stainless steel, it is specifically engineered for installation on metal hulls (steel or aluminum) as well as fiberglass and wooden vessels. The 20° internal tilt compensates for steep hull deadrise angles (16° to 24°) to direct the acoustic beam vertically downward without requiring an external fairing block. Its flush, low-profile housing sits flat against the hull to eliminate drag and aeration at high speeds. Operating across Medium CHIRP frequencies (80 kHz to 130 kHz) with a 24° to 16° beam width, the SS175M delivers an optimal balance of depth penetration down to 1,500 ft and broad beam coverage for target identification.
